Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2025
1. Services
Tailored Builders LLC provides custom home building, remodeling, and finish carpentry services in Sarasota County and Charlotte County, Florida. By requesting our services or signing a contract with us, you agree to these terms.
2. Project Estimates
All estimates are based on the information available at the time of proposal. Final pricing may change based on the actual scope of work discovered during planning or construction. We will communicate any significant changes before proceeding with additional work or cost.
3. Payment
Payment terms are established in the signed project contract. A service charge may apply for returned checks. We reserve the right to pause work on a project if agreed payment milestones are not met.
4. Workmanship
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you experience an issue related to our workmanship within the warranty period defined in your contract, contact us and we will return to address it at no additional charge, provided the issue is attributable to our original work and not to subsequent modifications, misuse, or conditions outside our control.
5. Site Access and Safety
You agree to provide safe and adequate access to the work site. We reserve the right to stop work if conditions are deemed unsafe or if required permits are not in place. We are not responsible for pre-existing site conditions or damage caused by factors outside our control, including weather events.
6. Permits and Compliance
Where required, we will obtain applicable building permits as outlined in the project contract. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the property meets HOA requirements, deed restrictions, or any other covenants prior to the start of construction.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided under the signed contract. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the project or any delays caused by factors outside our control, including material lead times or permitting delays.
8. Changes and Cancellation
Changes to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing via a signed change order. Cancellation terms are defined in your project contract. Deposits paid to cover pre-construction planning, permitting, or materials procurement are generally non-refundable once those activities have commenced.
